I am a researcher investigating traditional textile systems in Sri Lanka, with a focus on their cultural, material, and socio-economic significance within contemporary design and production contexts. My work documents endangered craft practices, including Dumbara weaving, and bobbin lace through ethnographic and practice-based methodologies. I am currently developing a Digital Passport for Craft-Led Manufacturing, a structured framework that integrates provenance data, artisan authorship, and material traceability into transparent digital systems. This research contributes to emerging discourse on sustainable fashion, supply chain accountability, and cultural preservation.
