Title: Academic Researcher

As a lawyer with over 20 years of experience at industry-leading organizations, I recently went back to law school for my LLM in Environmental Law. I’ve always been drawn to practice areas that promote social benefits (e.g., immigration, data privacy, corporate compliance and ethics) and environmental law was a natural progression. As a life long fan of fashion, I focused on how the law can help (or hinder) efforts to address overproduction, overconsumption and disposability in the apparel and textile industry.

I also explored related legal areas including sustainable business, sustainable development, and hazardous waste. As the inaugural Executive Director of the Sustainable Business Law Hub, I have the opportunity to help champion and innovate legal tools and business practices that not only minimize fashion's environmental impacts but that promote sustainability goals across a broader range of companies and industries.
