As a part of our 2026 Sustainable Fashion Consumption Network series, this panel brings together scholars and on-the-ground experts to critically examine the environmental, economic, and social implications of second-hand clothing exports from the Global North to Ghana.
The conversation will explore environmental justice, waste colonialism, and the impacts of global secondhand trade on Ghana’s textile industry, water systems, and local economy.
