Dr. Enrique Nuñez is an award-winning teacher, scholar, and entrepreneur with a lifelong interest in serving others and the larger community. As an Associate Professor of Management in the Anisfield School of Business at Ramapo College, he teaches popular courses in Entrepreneurship and Strategy, emphasizing how ethics and sustainability can be incorporated into everyday decision-making. He is the cofounder of The Sustainable Threads Research Collective, which aims to integrate sustainability education into business curricula. Through peer-to-peer learning and real-world applications, the initiative equips future leaders with critical thinking skills for sustainable business management. With hundreds of students involved, this project seeks to enhance sustainability education in higher education and develop responsible, environmentally conscious professionals. Before his tenure at Ramapo College, Dr. Nuñez served on the faculty of several academic institutions, including as a founding faculty member of a Center for Entrepreneurship at a leading research university.

Dr. Nuñez received an M.S. and Ph.D. from Stevens Institute of Technology. He researches the role of innovation and entrepreneurship, focusing on startups, and has published investigative results on pioneering innovation practices, entrepreneurship, and family business. He has presented papers at annual conferences of leading academic associations. Before his academic career, Dr. Nuñez was a consultant and entrepreneur, having founded firms that provided expertise on strategic development efforts to multinational organizations. He remains a social and environmental advocate, working to reshape the way industry thinks about sustainability to reinvent categories, expose new sources of revenue, and help firms catapult beyond less innovative incumbents.
